Contemporary Authors Book Club

Join the Contemporary Authors Book Club as we discuss Story of a Marriage by Andrew Sean Greerby. We will meet on Wednesday, October 21st, at 1:30 p.m. New members are always welcome. Questions? Please contact the library at 407-647-7700.

Contemporary Authors is the library's longest running book discussion group. Organized in 1998, the group's first book was Welcome to the World, Baby Girl by Fannie Flagg. The group originally concentrated on contemporary Southern authors, but as the group grew and changed, the focus changed as well, expanding in 2007 to contemporary authors of all genres. The group now reads fiction and nonfiction titles; discussions include background and biographical information presented by the month's moderator. On occasion the group is even joined by the author (in person or by telephone) for discussion and questions.

"Books to Die For!" Book Club

If you enjoy mysteries, come on down to the library and join us as we discuss a new mystery every month. Our next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27th over at the Civic Center.

Books to Die for! is the library's newest book discussion group, begun in 2007. From cozies involving servants and robberies to decidedly un-cozy mysteries involving death and dismemberment - we discuss them all. We're casual, friendly, and always happy to see a new face. Please join us on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
